On their way, the two bike travellers were marvelled by the endless, windy beaches in Holland and the flocks of seagulls, they shared the road with hundreds of pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago, they swam in the ocean in Portugal, danced with the Berbers in the desert, waited for three days for the heavy rainfall to stop in Amsterdam, cycled against the wind on the North Sea and counted rows upon rows of white crosses in the military cemeteries in northern France.
